Let's try to be the RIVER.....

Well yet again this post is inspired frm sumthing i read and what touched me...since past few days i hav been reading a book by ma favourite writer Paulo Coelho....."By the river piedra I sat down and wept"...its a story abt the spritiual way of loving sumone.....well its definitely not abt 'love' that i m goin to write :) ...actually...its sumthing i personally believe in that i found written....
In todays era everyone wants to get a life that is too mch predictable... everybdy wants to settle down...to live in a peaceful life... People want to get a sense of smoothness outa life...they dnt want to accept any change....In short everyone wants to be a MOUNTAIN...everythin jst where it shud be... perfectly placed..standin there all his life same as it was years ago....
But lets for a moment think abt being a RIVER...which doesnt stand the same way all its life but flows...findin new possibilities...findin new ways...It not only changes its own life but also changes all the surrounding it passes by.... The RIVER, which is not as high as the mountain bt is deep....havin many treasures hidden in its lap.... The one who not only lives but gives life to many.Let's stop being the Mountain and be the RIVER...and get out of the settled life thing...Let's open our hearts to the new possibilities...to the things that r waiting for us...to c the sites a mountain never gets to c... some wise man once said "uperwale ke haath hamesha ek saugaath dene ke lie tatpar rehte hain...par kami hai un haatho ki jin mei vo apni saugaat de sake".....(God is always ready to giv his gifts bt the only thing lackin is the hands ready to accept his gift)...Let's open our hands to life...to accept all tht the life offers...there might be sum pain...bt there'll be mch mch joy and happiness....Let's be different..Let's try to flow....Let's be the RIVER....

  6. is it?
are you sure people can live like mountains, since life is a great teacher, even if you don't want to be a river, you'll have to be one.

everyone has the power to choose what they want, but the they dont have the power of not choosing, and if you abdicate this power, their river, that shouldn't be called a river, it should be called a naala,,,, ;)....

and btw rivers originate from mountains only :P

  7. dear....there's a lot diff between accpetin things forced to u and keepin ur self open to new horizons...wat u r talkin abt is the thing v dnt hav a choice abt..bt wat i m talkin abt is choosin a life full of adventure and not "accpeting wats given"..bt keepin our selves open to watevr risks r commin.... abt being diff.... take an example...watchin a tv serial ll b acceptin wat u r given...u dnt kno wat they ll show bt u dnt hav a choice its the only serial u watch...wat i m talkin abt is visitin may b horror house...its a "by chioce" thing...u can choose nt to go inside...bt by choice u choose to take the adventure...

  10. A mountain is not an example of stagnancy. A mountain has its firm existence. you can't make it move. i know what the post is all about and what coleho wanna say. But still i don't agree the analogy.

You must have seen green mountain, aren't they live. People make themselves calm and comfortable with just a mere look at them. They are very useful and give us many useful resources.

Now talking about the mountain from the mountain's point of view, i mean if mountain is a selfish one, even then it sees a lot happening around. But yes the changes a mountain go through are stagnant. A mountain needs rain drops to harvest, it needs the weather to be really a cold one to wear a white curtain. It needs the temperature to lower itself down to be the originator of water.

    u said it right.
